WHO WE ARE

We sign our name to the work.

Arcwood doesn't broker. We treat at our Indianapolis RCRA Part B TSDF. We stabilize for our Subtitle C landfill. Your manifest. Our signature. Final disposition.

Treatment hierarchy: reclaim, reuse, detoxify, dispose. We don't default to landfill because it's easier. We default to the hierarchy because it's right.

ARCWOOD ENVIRONMENTAL OPERATIONS TEAM
FREQUENTLY ASKED

Hazardous waste, FAQ'd.

Quick answers about permits, streams, pickup, and documentation — the things RCRA generators actually ask before scheduling.

Is Arcwood a RCRA-permitted TSDF? What's your EPA ID?

Yes. Our Indianapolis facility is a RCRA Part B-permitted Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facility — EPA IDs IND980503890 and IND078611146. Our Subtitle C landfill in west central Indiana has been operating since 1980.

What hazardous waste streams does Arcwood take?

Every RCRA category: F/K/P/U-listed, D001-D043 characteristic, sludges and wastewaters, contaminated soils and debris, lab packs, reactives, DEA-controlled materials, universal waste, and PCB/TSCA-regulated waste. If it's on your manifest, we route it.

Can Arcwood pick up near me? How fast?

Yes. Our continental U.S. fleet plus hazardous and non-hazardous rail covers the country. Submit your zip code and an Arcwood hazwaste specialist confirms pickup options — typically within 15 minutes during business hours.

Do you issue a Certificate of Disposal?

Yes. Every container is bar-code tracked cradle to grave. You receive a Certificate of Disposal tied to final disposition, with e-Manifest filed — audit-ready documentation, not a broker paper trail.

Do you handle residential or household waste?

No. Arcwood services commercial generators only. For residential household hazardous waste, please contact your municipal HHW program.

Do you accept lab packs and small containers?

Yes. Containers up to 5 gallons, with onsite chemist consultation if needed. We handle R&D facilities, universities, QC labs, hospital cleanouts, and similar small-container streams.

Can Arcwood handle PCB and TSCA-regulated waste?

Yes. We accept bulk PCB remediation waste with TSCA-compliant handling, routed to our RCRA Subtitle C landfill or to thermal destruction via incineration as the waste profile requires.

How long will Arcwood's landfill be operating?

Our Subtitle C landfill has approximately 50 years of permitted capacity remaining — 1,000+ acres and 13 million cubic yards permitted. The facility on your manifest will still be operating decades from now.
